1947 17^th April, 1947 – 17 April 2020 :    73 years ago, this Sunday 19th was a Saturday ... we had a wedding of PURE GRACE Thursday 17 April 1947 Clacton the R.C. Church supervised by a family friend called `YOUNG PACELLI` ROME  ... This 19^{th day of APRIL ... at 7.30 pm.}   we are to go DRINKING with the USA ARMY-Air force at  IPSWICH ... ANDRE MALRAUX is well known to `rank` here of his age ... they may have seen the tip of the GREAT WAR or the smouldering 1920s-30s globe and DARK VALLEY a book 2,000 ... and they this evening (talking to 1.30am)  have read MALRAUX`s BOOKS of their days before this 2^nd World War ...

AN OLD TAVERN near the IPSWICH U.S.A. AIRBASE ... IT WAS SUFFOLK ALE ... clear amber shade ... we were to eat ... I had spaghetti with tomato sauce ... new to me ... they talk seriously ... I have 5 days from school Convent of Order of Poor Saint Clare, CLACTON-on-Sea ... who have 1920s `Pacelli` on phone and his old friend from Rome comes over 1929 to manage this great church ... built because 2 widows gave 20 thousand pounds to somewhere (agreement their families) to  “ build a church as we see when we visit Rome ...”  I am on best manners and observe everything in this new scene ... The older mature company have clearly been for some years drinking about the planet ... after I was heartily given a second pint pot by a very good mannered American in uniform ... Colonel ANDRE MALRAUX snatched it from me and had me taken up to bed ... he returned to `jaw` with them until 1.30am `the morn` ... Serious matters will be the death of JOSETTE and the two baby boys now with his `sister` (sister-in-law)  ... and mention of other dead they have known  down 2 decades OR MORE ...
